GOLDEN JOINERY

In 2016 we launched our GOLDEN JOINERY game!
To learn more about it please visit www.goldenjoinery.com

GOLDEN JOINERY is a non-commercial new clothing brand, developing in togetherness, initiated by Painted Series. Touched by the Japanese Kintsugi (golden joinery) technique, where broken porcelain is visibly healed with gold, Painted Series started to translate this gesture to fashion from 2013 on.

In playful workshops you are invited to repair a dear but broken garment with gold. A growing collection of clothes with visible golden repairs emerges.
Everyone participates directly in both creation and spreading of the brand;
the collection swarms immediately into the world; gathered online at www.goldenjoinery.com

PAINTED NECKLACES
IN THE COLLECTION OF MUSEUM DE PAVILJOENS

Almere 2010

We are proud to tell you that Museum De Paviljoens Almere,The Netherlands
has purchased work of Painted Series,
following up on our performance & salon ‘Painted Glasshouse’
at De Paviljoens in 2008.

‘Painted colliers’ consists of three colliers that can also be seen separately.

The colliers were developed in collaboration with
Magdalina Toneva and Rumjana Rakovska,
Bulgarian masters in needlepoint lace, an almost forgotten craft
that was valued highly in antique folklore garments.

By adopting this beautiful craft in contemporary couture,
Painted Series aims to take it into the future,
both in the jewelry and clothing we make.

These and other pieces can also be seen on this website
under Lookbook and be ordered
