FUTURE ROOTS lecture and workshop Painted at the IMA, Istanbul 2012
By invitation of Dutch DFA, IMA and REC Painted gave an introduction and workshop to a group of students from the IMA and participants of the REC, focusing on Painteds vision on sustainability.
A oneday introduction taking place at IMA, consisting of a lecture followed by an (interactive) workshop, offering a taste of the practice of Painted Series.
Workshop
In the afternoon Painted Series ‘touched’ a few elements of their approach in a workshop with 12 students.
Connection with personal 'heritage' of the participants formed the starting point for the content of this workshop.
Experiencing the inertia and attentiveness of crafts,
evoking a result that cannot be individually controlled,
we exchanged knowledge and felt the joy of making,
while working on a magnified clothing element.
